Urban Sky delivers broad-area, high-resolution, aerial imaging at a cost drastically less than satellites, aircraft or drones. Urban Sky captures these images via reusable, stratospheric balloons that provide 4-5-inch resolution. Urban Sky is targeting urban areas that change rapidly, but are currently updated at best every 3-4 months. Because of the low cost of balloons, images can be taken more frequently. Unlike satellites, a balloon’s payload can easily be updated to have state-of-the-art cameras and equipment.
